CASE 006 · Inheritance fraud mystery
Two versions of a will leave a family facing different futures. Meet the people at Harrow House before you investigate who changed the papers.

The story begins
Rain falls over Harrow House. Inside, Edmund Harrow's chair stands empty beside his study desk. He died of natural causes two months ago. His family and staff have gathered to sort the papers he left behind.
Then two versions of his will come to light. They give different instructions about who should inherit. Someone has changed the family's future on paper. You must work out who interfered with the wills, how and when.
What happened to Edmund's papers?
Edmund's death is part of the background. The mystery is about the two wills. These papers should tell the family what he wanted. Instead, they raise a new question: who changed them?
Alice and Julian expected to inherit. Ruth and Benedict depended on their jobs at the house. All four were there when the papers were sorted. Your file includes later reports and checked witness accounts to help you work out what happened.

Look at the staff as well as the family
A will can draw your attention straight to the relatives. But Harrow House is also a workplace. The four people have different ties to the same home and its papers. Read those ties, then let the clues guide you.
This is a quiet mystery built around documents and accounts. Notice what a report shows, what a person says and what you have guessed. You do not need to know inheritance law. The facts needed for this fictional case are in the game.
What to expect when you play
The opening takes you into the house and study, then introduces the two wills. Search the room and speak to Alice, Julian, Ruth and Benedict. Your notebook keeps the clues and statements ready to read again.
Choose untimed practice to read without a countdown. Timed mode gives you five minutes to investigate and submit. You need to explain who changed the papers, how and when, then match a false statement to a clue. Inheriting something does not prove someone changed the will.
